Alya Skin is a brand that you will have heard about recently as they have become Insta-famous! Their pink clay mask has a cult following, and become a real beauty favourite. They very kindly sent this to me to try so I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
About the brand..
Alya Skin are an Australian company that specialise in skincare. The first thing that caught my attention about them was their pretty pink packaging. All of their products are completely vegan and made with natural ingredients which is also a big tick in the book for me. They produce a range of skincare from moisturisers, to exfoliators and of course this pink clay mask that has everyone talking at the moment.
I haven’t used a mask for a few years so it was time to get them back into my skincare routine. This mask can be used weekly to create a smoother, softer and healthier looking complexion. I have had a few break outs recently and have found that this product has really helped to reduce this and rebalance my skin. It is a great way to detoxify and brighten up the skin too. To summarise, here are the main benefit check points of this product:
- Detoxifies & Brightens your skin
- Safe for sensitive skin types
- Tightens your skin’s pores
- Extracts pollutants and nasties from your skin
- Assists in the removal of acne and pimples
- Vegan & cruelty free
Applying this mask literally couldn’t be any easier. I used a soft bristle brush and painted the formula directly onto my face, avoiding the eye area and lips. The mask is a lovely creamy texture and I like the cooling sensation as you apply it onto the skin. It is tricky to determine the scent of this and its not my favourite. I would have loved it to have been a as a sweet or fruity smell but that’s not really an important factor as I would much rather get results from a product than it looking/smelling like perfection but it doesn’t do the job it’s supposed to.
Sit back and wait..
Once the mask has been applied onto the skin all you need to do is sit back and let the magic happen! I left this on for around 10 minutes and in that time it dries right down and turns a white colour. You face will feel slightly stiff once it is completely dried but it doesn’t crumble which I like, as there’s nothing worse than a mask that starts crumbling off your face. To remove the mask, I used a warm face cloth gently wiping it away in circular movements.
I have been adding a moisturiser onto my skin after I have used this clay mask and instantly I can feel the difference. The breakouts I had dried up and reduced and my face felt gloriously smooth and clear. I will definitely continue to use this in my weekly skin care routine and I can say that it lived up to the hype also.
You can purchase the Alya skin care range HERE. Check out their website for their other products to. I think I am going to try the exfoliator next.
