Breakfast at the Fendi Cafe, Harrods

Fendi Cafe Harrods

Fendi is one of my all time favourite designer brands, so as soon as I heard that Harrods were hosting a pop up Fendi cafe for the Summer I couldn’t wait to visit! Located on the 5th Floor of the famous department store is the brand new cafe which is fashionista heaven.

A couple of weeks ago I went to try out the new cafe and luckily chose a good time to go as when I as leaving there were queues to get inside. I believe the queues can be up to an hour long so plan your visit in advance if you want to go to avoid waiting in line for eternity.

Fendi Fabulous

The cafe itself is a contemporary, monochrome design with the Fendi logo everywhere you turn and it was designed by artist Joshua Vides. We were shown to our table and presented with the menu – which of course was also covered in FF logos.

There were quite a few delicious choices from breakfasts to full Italian style cuisine such as antipasti, insalate (the beef carpaccio is a house special) and mains of lasagne, aubergine parmagiana and more. As it was still early for me, I went for the breakfast pastries. The coffees are also decorated with Fendi logos and they are presented with an adorable logo biscuit. It is an Instagrammers dream!

Peekaboo bag customisation

At the till, there were some fabulous cakes which were replicas of the Fendi Peeakboo handbags that looked exactly like the real thing.

In July, there was a pop-up Fendi Peekaboo bar, allowing shoppers to fully customise their own Mini Peekaboo bags. Customers were able to mix and match the body, handle and straps, to create their own unique style. There were over 20 different options for the body of the bag, 25 variations of handles and a further seven strap possibilities.

The cafe is likely to be seen all over your Instagram feeds throughout the summer, from the branded walls, tables, menus, plates and crockery. But if you want to visit, it will only be open at Harrods until 31st August.

Designer shopping at Bicester Village

Everyone loves finding a bargain, especially if it’s a luxury designer piece. If you’re a fashionista and into designer labels like I am, then you just have to visit the Bicester Village shopping outlet. I love spending a day there and you can find some absolute gems so it’s definitely worth visiting.

The Stores

Every time I have been to Bicester Village, there seems to be newly opened stores and they have over 160 premium and luxury brands to look around. The luxury stores range from Prada, Saint Laurent, Jimmy Choo, Balenciaga and more. Plus there is a giant Gucci store which has some amazing discounted items.

One of the other larger stores is Ralph Lauren and these two tend to be the busiest so I always aim to go to these at the beginning of my shopping trip as by the afternoon there can be queues to get inside them.

Throughout the year, there are often additional deals and sales on, so you can get even more money off of the already discounted prices which is amazing. They will often mention when they are doing these days on their website HERE so keep an eye out for those.

The outlet

Travelling from London Marylebone, the outlet is around a 45 minute train journey. I always tend to see other shoppers on the train and some people  actually take suitcases with them to carry home all of their shopping!

The outlet is not under cover like a regular shopping centre, it’s more like a designer shopping street, with each brand set in their own independent boutique store. The luxury stores have the same sort of feel to them as if you were in their London Bond Street branches, but with a reduction in the price from anything up to 60% off!

There are a few restaurants and cafes dotted around the outlet also so you can stop for lunch and snacks along the way. Again, these can tend to get quite busy during the day so I often try to have an early lunch there to avoid having to wait or queue. I would much rather have more time shopping!

I stared my recent trip to the Farmshop cafe for some delicious scones before I set off around the shops. This has a really lovely cosy barn feel to it.

Shopping tips for Bicester Village

Tip number 1 – My number one tip when visiting Bicester Village is to not plan what you want to buy. Just wait and see what they have on the day as they change their stock regularly and you just never know what is going to be there. So go with an open mind and you will not be disappointed.

Tip number 2 – is that if you like something, buy it there and then as if you go back later in the day, you cant guarantee it will still be there. It’ll probably be in one of those suitcases that you saw on the train there!

Tip number 3 – is to buy off season. It might be a cold Winters day when you are there, but if you find some gorgeous summer sandals, sunglasses or bikinis, it’s the perfect time to pick them up while you are there and definitely cheaper than if you try to buy them in the following June. Likewise,if you go in the Summer time, look out for Winter jackets – especially at Burberry for some amazing deals.

Tip number 4 – is to look for Christmas or birthday gifts when you are there. There are some fabulous bits you can pick up like candles from the White Company, stylish small leather goods at Smythson or Mulberry, underwear/pyjamas from Calvin Klein, or pretty jewellery at Links of London just to name a few!

Hopefully you have found this post useful if you are planning a trip to Bicester Village soon. Leave a comment below to let me know what bargains you have bought there before.

Johnny Loves Rosie – my go to place for accessories

Johnny Loves Rosie has been one of my favourite brands for a while. They always have such beautiful leather handbags and accessories so I was really excited to try out a piece from their new AW18 headwear collection.

Leopard print is such a huge trend at the moment and I am a huge animal print fan so this headband is going to be a perfect statement piece to wear this season. This is a classic band shape with a pretty bow on the side and it is really comfortable to wear. There is nothing worse than when you wear one that digs into you and gives you a blinding headache! There are a few bow headband options on the Johnny Loves Rosie website as well as pretty jewel encrusted style which will be perfect or the up coming festive season.

I have been wearing this piece with knitwear and jeans, as well as roll neck tops with leather leggings. It also looks fab with a winter teddy coat. It looks great with so many outfit combinations, I’m obsessed!

You can shop on the Johnny loves Rosie website HERE and these are a few of my top picks!

Sophia Webster SS19 collection preview party

Last week I attended a really exciting event that I cannot wait to share with you all! Sophia Webster transformed their Chelsea store to showcase their newly upcoming SS19 collection and I went along to view it.

About Sophia Webster..

Sophia Webster is by far one of my favourite luxury shoe designers. Her collections are always so much fun, girlie and are always different to anything else you will find in the stores. Her shoes are bold, make a statement and really stand out from the crowd which I love! You will instantly recognise her signature styles such as the butterfly range and the sparkly candy heels. The brand has branched out over the last 6 years and now offer handbags, children’s footwear and bridal options in their collection. They also collaborated with sports brand Puma with a fabulous sneaker range in that classic Sophia Webster style.

A shoe addicts dream store..

There are 2 Sophia Webster boutiques in London. One in Mount Street and the other in Chelsea’s Sloane Avenue which is where I went to for the launch party. Both are absolutely beautiful and such a treat to shop in. I highly recommend visiting them if you are ever in London. As I walked into the store, I was surrounded by glossy white illuminated shelving, a pretty blush pink carpet, pink marble effect walls, velvet seating and of course a fabulous neon pink sign in the shape of a butterfly. For the event there was a little bar area where I sipped prosecco and had a little lemon macaron. So chic!

Towards the back of the store was another little seating area with a gorgeous flamingo chandelier hanging above. This was the start of a carpeted stairway which led down to the lower level. On the night, there were nail bars where you could have a complimentary manicure too! There was also more elegant seating downstairs with glass coffee table lined with fashion books as well as gold glass cabinets displaying more gorgeous heels.

I especially love the stiletto heel hangers on the walls which held some of their gorgeous clutch bags and leather accessories. This is such a fab idea.

The new SS19 collection..

The best part of the evening though, of course, was viewing the shoes. Rows and rows of stunning heels, boots and flats in an array of colours and textures. I love the attention to detail of every piece and how creative they all are. I am a huge fan of the butterfly range and this will continue into the new season but with brand new updated designs. Some of the butterflies were stitched with colourful threads and looked amazing.

Another gorgeous range featured Perspex straps that were decorated with chunky circular gems which I think is one of my favourite styles from the new collection. There were also styles which had pretty flat tied bows. These were on a sock boot, a stiletto and a pointed toe mule style.

There is a really fun, 70s inspired range which has rainbow coloured panels straps which will be great on a night out and for party season!

I also adore the crystal heel range. This has carried over from previous seasons but has been updated for SS19 with new colour options. The heel on this new design has an ombre effect with the shades of the crystals that cover it and it’s such a stunning look!

There were some amazing boots in the range as well as heels. I particularly liked a pair of black suede ankle boots which have a block heel, covered with silver and white chunky crystals and stones. The sparkle on these is incredible!

I had such a lovely evening meeting other shoe obsessed ladies such as myself and I could have walked out of the store with one of every design as I literally love them all. Sophia Webster has done it again! A fabulous collection and I cannot wait for these new styles to hit the stores.

How to de-clutter your wardrobe for the new Winter season

Now that we are officially in Autumn/Winter and the weather is getting colder, it’s the perfect time to de-clutter your wardrobe! Not all of us are blessed with a dressing room or rows and rows of wardrobe space. Some of us even have to share wardrobe space with our partner. So a good tip to manage the space that you have affectively is to do a seasonal clear out. Here are my top tips on how to do this.

Get started

Ok lets get going girl! You are going to feel so organised when this has been sorted. First things first, get everything out of the wardrobe and group it into sections. All knitwear into one pile, all jeans into another etc – this will make it easier to see everything that you have to go through.

Evaluate what you have

You need to be ruthless and really look at each piece with a level head. Ask yourself if you still love each item and if you will wear it again. Anything you’re not sure about, try it on. Does it still fit? If it doesn’t, there is no point hanging on to it. Does it still look as good as new or are the threads getting loose or starting to bobble? If it is, you know the drill – move it into the pile of things to be removed.

Have a look at your accessories too when making the decisions on whether to keep or remove each item. You might get inspired for a fresh new way to accessorise an outfit.

Any items that are going to be too warm or too cold to wear in the current season but you want to keep it, put these into storage bags, neatly folding everything. You can get these out next season and see if you still want to keep them or not.

If anything still has the tags on it (we are all guilty of this) then it’s likely you don’t really want the item anymore. Keep the tags on as this always helps when selling clothes online.

Organise

Now that you have decided what you are going to keep, its time to put them back into the wardrobe. A good tip is to either group the items in categories, so all of the tops together, sweaters all together etc. Alternatively hang up the clothes grouped together in outfits. This is a good idea if you have to wake up early for work and don’t want to have to think too much about what to wear – the hard work has already been done for you!
Another good tip is to hang all of your clothes with the hangers facing the same way. When you have worn something, hang it back up with the hanger facing the opposite way. This will really show you what items you have been wearing. If something is still unworn for a long period of time, ask yourself if you really still need it. It’s said that we only wear 20% of our clothes which is such a crazy figure compared to what most of us have in our wardrobe!

Keep, Sell & Donate

Work out from the pile that you don’t want, which items you can potentially sell and make some money back on. There are lots of places you can sell items, such as Ebay, Depop and Facebook local selling pages. Price them fairly – no one is going to pay full price for second hand clothes, even if they are unworn. Also, make sure anything you sell is in a decent condition and isn’t stained.
Anything else can be donated to local charity shops or to friends. Perhaps you could even organise a clothes swapping party where everyone takes a couple of items that they no longer want and you can get the chance to swap with others!

Make a list of what you need to buy

This is my favourite part! As you have now organised everything that you want to keep you can start planning new items to buy that you will need for the season. Do you need more basics to pair together the pieces you have?
Do you need a new pair of boots to replace the old ones that you removed? Write a list of the bits you can see you need and then you can get shopping!
I hope you enjoyed reading my tips on how to organise and de-clutter your wardrobe. I would love to see a photo of your wardrobe spaces and how fab they are now looking!
