Shoe heaven – colour customisation by Rainbow Club

Rainbow Club heels

As a footwear fanatic, you can imagine my excitement when Rainbow Club reached out to me to tell me about their bespoke colour matching service!! I’m really excited to share this blog post with you all.

Have you ever found the most perfect pair of shoes but the colour of them wasn’t exactly what you were looking for? It can be so annoying when you have an outfit that you want to wear for an event or a night out and you can’t seem to find the ultimate matching pair of heels to go with it. Customisation or bespoke services are not something that you’ll find easily on the high street, unless it comes with a premium price attached, and so whatever is available in the store at the time is kind of your only option. That is, until I discovered Rainbow Club and what they offer.

Rainbow Club customisation..

Rainbow Club heels

Rainbow Club have a selection of different heel silhouettes to choose from and they offer a dyeing service in a variety of colours. If you have a specific shade in mind, you can send them a swatch for them to colour match or you could even send them a Pantone colour reference and they can dye your chosen heels to that exact shade. Footwear magic.

This would be a perfect idea for weddings if you have a particular colour theme planned, or you would like all of your Bridesmaids to have heels to match the colour of their dresses.

Your chosen shade is hand mixed by one of their colour experts and they work on getting the exact match for you. They then apply the dye by hand and then leave them to dry naturally before they are inspected and packed up ready to be sent back to you. They also apply a protection spray before they are sent to you to make sure the heels are kept in beautiful condition.

Choosing my heels

I couldn’t wait to get started and to choose my pair of heels and there are 41 options available in a variety of heel heights. There are open toed strappy styles, courts, peep toes, Mary Jane heels and even a couple of flat pump options. Some styles have sparkly trims or embellishments and there is also a pretty lace pair available. Rainbow Club also cater for wider fits so they literally have everyone covered. After looking through all of the options, I chose a Mary Jane style called Hana – well I just had to go for this pair really didn’t I! Priced at £79, this is how Rainbow Club describes the heels that I chose:

Crafted from beautiful ivory satin, these retro-inspired bridal shoes feature a softly-pointed toe, a sexy stiletto heel and are finished with a delicate strap and stylish silver buckle. Vintage inspired but with a contemporary touch, brides looking for height and glamour will love these simple but chic wedding shoes.

I really liked the classic style of these and knew that they would go perfectly with dresses just as much as a pair of jeans or with some smart trousers. Plus they reminded me of that Sex in the City episode when Carrie finds her perfect pair of Mary Jane Manolos.

After choosing the style, Rainbow Club very kindly sent me a pair to try on before they dyed them just to check that I was happy with the fit. The next part of the process was to choose the colour of my new heels. As they are satin, I didn’t want anything too pale in colour. I think satin always looks so gorgeous in bright, bold colours.

I had a look through my wardrobe to see what shoes I already have – which took a while I have to admit! I was tempted to ask for the Pantone colour of 2019 which is a gorgeous coral colour but I finally decided on an acid yellow shade. The exact colour reference is 600 if you love them as much as I do and want to order yourself a pair too!

The verdict

A few days later, my newly dyed heels arrived in the post and I couldn’t wait to see how they turned out – and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You can’t tell that they had been dyed since the last time that I tried them on when they were a blank canvas ivory satin. There were no dye marks or any imperfections and I’m seriously impressed with the zesty acid yellow shade. It was the exact colour that I wanted. The heels are lined with padding to make them more comfortable to wear which is great, especially if you are wearing them to an event where you will be on your feet for a long period of time.

Another really sweet little touch to mention about these heels is that on the sole, there is a little blue crystal within the Rainbow Club logo. This is just perfect for brides looking for ‘something blue’ to add to their wedding.

Additional Items

Rainbow Club also offer a selection of evening bags which can be colour customised to match your heels, as well as some stunning embellishment clips that you can add to your heels, to make them even more bespoke and individual to you.

For the quality and service, I have to say this is excellent value for money and a really exciting treat to be able to create your own bespoke footwear. I will definitely be ordering more pairs and I’ll be adding some of these pretty additional details as they can really add a little something extra. I just LOVE this.

Head over to the Rainbow Club website HERE to view their full collection and enjoy customising the perfect pair of heels for yourself! Let me know what you choose, I would love to see your heels!

Here is how I have styled my new heels with an acid wash pair of mom jeans. Dressed down denim paired with these heels are just the perfect combination:

Sophia Webster SS19 collection preview party

Last week I attended a really exciting event that I cannot wait to share with you all! Sophia Webster transformed their Chelsea store to showcase their newly upcoming SS19 collection and I went along to view it.

About Sophia Webster..

Sophia Webster is by far one of my favourite luxury shoe designers. Her collections are always so much fun, girlie and are always different to anything else you will find in the stores. Her shoes are bold, make a statement and really stand out from the crowd which I love! You will instantly recognise her signature styles such as the butterfly range and the sparkly candy heels. The brand has branched out over the last 6 years and now offer handbags, children’s footwear and bridal options in their collection. They also collaborated with sports brand Puma with a fabulous sneaker range in that classic Sophia Webster style.

A shoe addicts dream store..

There are 2 Sophia Webster boutiques in London. One in Mount Street and the other in Chelsea’s Sloane Avenue which is where I went to for the launch party. Both are absolutely beautiful and such a treat to shop in. I highly recommend visiting them if you are ever in London. As I walked into the store, I was surrounded by glossy white illuminated shelving, a pretty blush pink carpet, pink marble effect walls, velvet seating and of course a fabulous neon pink sign in the shape of a butterfly. For the event there was a little bar area where I sipped prosecco and had a little lemon macaron. So chic!

Towards the back of the store was another little seating area with a gorgeous flamingo chandelier hanging above. This was the start of a carpeted stairway which led down to the lower level. On the night, there were nail bars where you could have a complimentary manicure too! There was also more elegant seating downstairs with glass coffee table lined with fashion books as well as gold glass cabinets displaying more gorgeous heels.

I especially love the stiletto heel hangers on the walls which held some of their gorgeous clutch bags and leather accessories. This is such a fab idea.

The new SS19 collection..

The best part of the evening though, of course, was viewing the shoes. Rows and rows of stunning heels, boots and flats in an array of colours and textures. I love the attention to detail of every piece and how creative they all are. I am a huge fan of the butterfly range and this will continue into the new season but with brand new updated designs. Some of the butterflies were stitched with colourful threads and looked amazing.

Another gorgeous range featured Perspex straps that were decorated with chunky circular gems which I think is one of my favourite styles from the new collection. There were also styles which had pretty flat tied bows. These were on a sock boot, a stiletto and a pointed toe mule style.

There is a really fun, 70s inspired range which has rainbow coloured panels straps which will be great on a night out and for party season!

I also adore the crystal heel range. This has carried over from previous seasons but has been updated for SS19 with new colour options. The heel on this new design has an ombre effect with the shades of the crystals that cover it and it’s such a stunning look!

There were some amazing boots in the range as well as heels. I particularly liked a pair of black suede ankle boots which have a block heel, covered with silver and white chunky crystals and stones. The sparkle on these is incredible!

I had such a lovely evening meeting other shoe obsessed ladies such as myself and I could have walked out of the store with one of every design as I literally love them all. Sophia Webster has done it again! A fabulous collection and I cannot wait for these new styles to hit the stores.

My top 5 sassy Topshop shoes you need in your wardrobe this summer

Summer clothes are personally not my favourite as no matter what I put on makes me feel like I am melting and uncomfortable. For me, nothing beats cosy winter knits, or a stylish coat with a pair of boots, however I am completely shoe obsessed and love footwear no matter what the season, weather or occasion! I am a believer that you can never have too many pairs of shoes (that’s my excuse and I am sticking to it) and I do really love a pretty summer sandal, especially when worn with a fabulous tan and freshly painted nails.

For quick trends that I know are not going to be around for more than a season, I tend to buy more high street versions but for classic styles that I know I will be able to wear time and time again, I like to invest in more premium or luxury brands which I know I’ll be long lasting and good quality. Saying that, just because something is designer and comes with a high price point, does not guarantee that it will be comfortable to wear. Far from it in some cases especially with shoes! But if I have a night out where I can get a taxi and not have to run for the train or night bus on the way home, then I can overlook the pain factor for the outfit!

Topshop have such a great selection of Summer footwear shoes dropping in the stores and online at the moment and I had to share with you some of my current favourites. I am really impressed with the selection and the range of prices and there are some really affordable styles so here we are with my top 5 picks currently:

Pretty little details

I love the cute studded frill detail on these heels. They would look great with a black straw bag which is a huge trend for Summer 18. These look really expensive and not a they don’t look like they are straight off the high street. At only £39 these are a real bargain. Find these here

Stylish leather mules

Mules are a great way to dress up any outfit and instantly make you look more chic and expensive. These are another little bargain find from Topshop at £29 and are a classic style that can easily be worn with a dress, skirt or trouser. Find these here

Colour block sling backs

I love the colour and block heel of these green suede sling back heels. I have a similar pair from Topshop pictured at the beginning of this blog post, which I love and have been wearing a lot lately. A bright  heel is a great way to make a simple outfit pop, or a nice addition to a full colour block outfit. These are at a slightly higher price point to the others at £49 but they would be a great transitional shoe when we move into Autumn. Find these here

Summer woven chic

Woven footwear styles are everywhere at the moment but these Topshop ones are my favourite that I have come across. How pretty will these look with a little summer dress for a day out! The heel isn’t too high either so these will be easy to wear and a stylish addition to your wardrobe. These will also keep your feet cool on a hot day. Find these here

Gold Gucci style sandals

This final pair on my Topshop wish list has to be these gorgeous gold sandals that are really similar to a pair at Gucci that I love. Gold or silver heels are equally as good as plain black as they literally go with everything. I love the slightly textured leather of these and these would take you from the office to a night out. Find these here
